Howdy Partners Free Gachot shouting writer here with an article that happened in Texas involving Ricciardo… I will try to bring it normally, although the title probably gives you one big what the fuck dude? As we all known Ricciardo left the paddock for good. He only remained this year on the grid due to Christian Horner and Red Bull. It is still fair to say that Daniel was until Texas a big PR machine for Red Bull and it markets. With his big smile and in his days as a Red Bull driver he gained a lot of attention from fan all around the globe. However, what happened in Texas goes beyond my imagination…
An ordinary table with an ordinary cloth was places in a corner in the fan area, this happened on five more places. On all these tables was placed a black condolences book, all six books existing out of 600 unwritten pages, ready to be written by the fans. 3600 pages were ready to be written by the fans, to condense the loss of Daniel Ricciardo on the Grid. “The Cowboy” was no more, he died while out passed by almost everyone and left the grid for good. All the fans were grieving and mourning. There was almost minute silence to remember Ricciardo for all his years in the Formula One..
I’m not joking I saw comments passing by from the DTS generation that we should held a remembrance moment for the fallen driver. Because Ricciardo still had all the potential to be on the grid. His smile, his personality his positive vibes it is all we need on the grid.
Obviously, this is not how I see this. I found it pathetic to see what COTA did in the fan zones. If you have a sense of feeling you place a wall or whatever were fans can write down their goodbyes to Daniel. Nope, instead it was something strange as if you are writing down your deepest condolences to someone who passed away. There will be lots of fans who will disagree with my view on this. I’m aware of that fact.
Myself, I have never been a fan of Daniel. I always preferred that other Australian dude Mark Webber. Who also drove several years in the Formula One for Red Bull Racing. The years when Red Bull was a rebellious and naughty team on the grid. When Marko was still in his 60s and Christian Horner’s nickname was not Horny Horner.
Somehow it is hard for me to process what happened in Texas, perhaps it is my age. How can you praise Daniel on such a level why you don’t do it with other drivers. Again, this might have to do something with my age. I used to be a fan of Red Bull Racing especially with David Coulthard and Mark Webber behind the wheel. I understand that Red Bull has a complete marketing campaign behind their Formula One entry. Though, were those shoeyés or whatever you call them really needed?
Was it really needed to wear a sweater with Christmas with “Jingle my bells”? Obviously, something naughty was behind it. Therefore also the strange title. I do believe it is the matter. All you want is to jingle his ba.. bells!
