There was once a time in the Formula One when no one said Alive like he Life F190. The true art of Formula One, the passion is the forgotten beauty we can’t remember, we won’t remember or simply because it never happened. It is the Life F190 that symbolised todays confusing times in the Formula One. The Formula One has never been so popular yet never been out of touch with so many people. Paywalls, horrible streaming services and unrealistic Driver style cut scenes in-between everything. Yet it is alive and kicking and somehow still attracts more people. With it’s weird street circuits and artificial water.
Don’t worry you’re not the only one who gets confused by reading the first part of this article. I have no clue what the clue of this blog is, where it brings us, and where it ends. It is just the reminder of the Life F190. You probably remember that car with it’s insane and shed-build W12 engine which worked.
From origin, that Life F190 was nothing more than the confusing First 189 that only appeared at the Indoor Formula One Trophy during the 1988 Bologna Motorshow. Garbriele Tarquini showed his skills in the Judd powered car. Eventually the car failed the crash test. It was the last nail on the coffin for First to ditch their car and disappear.
Only to have the car brought back to life by Ernesto Vita who simply named it the Life F190. Adapting the rules and somehow managed to have the car going through the crash-test. It gives me somehow in 2024 the same feeling with Formula One. I’m not sure what It means is it sarcasm, is it my orphaned feeling from Formula One, or is it reality. Perhaps this era will be seen as the Life era, long gone and forgotten 30 years after only remembered by those who have a weird twist for strange and insane projects in the Formula One. Yes it’s people like you and me.
I have to admit I’m jealous on Bruno Giacomelli who was one of the drivers for the team. Who needs Ferrari, McLaren or Mercedes if you have Life and First or is it First Life? Or Life First? The type of team that used to make the Formula One exciting, experimenting with your own W12 only to realise a simple Judd V8 was quicker.
